Abstract:
Bearings are the basis of every mechanical construction. Bearing failure, in industrial applications, has a great impact on industry and economy. The aim of this research is to study the common causes of antifriction bearing failures and its own characteristic damage. The research also presents the bearing life theory through the study of the history of the estimation of fatigue life of rolling-element bearings and fatigue life calculations. A case study is investigated to determine the dynamic equivalent load, the adjusted fatigue life of rolling bearing and selection of the appropriate oil.
