Abstract:
With the development of wireless access Technologies such as 3/4 G, L TE, and WiMax. L TE, the standard for wireless communication of high speed data for mobile phones and data terminals, is set to power the cloud computing world as well and will see the emergence of a combine that will power business operations [44].
Also, Today’s fast advance of mobile computing and cloud computing is bring a new paradigm shift from conventional mobile computing and wireless communications services to mobile cloud computing and services over wireless internet in the real world. Many people believe that mobile cloud computing will not only completely change the current way of delivering mobile computing and communication services to global mobile users, but also alter their working and life styles with seamless global mobile resource sharing and accesses [25].
As cloud computing emerges as the next novel concept in computer science, it becomes clear that the model applied in large data storage systems used to resolve issues coming forth from an increasing demand, could also be used to resolve the very high bandwidth requirements on access network, core network equipment and long communication paths between users and servers in the today’s cellular networks [54].. The cloud computing model can be used to avoid bottlenecks, better utilize available resources, and minimize delay [94].
Mobile cloud computing (MCC) is mobile distributed computing paradigm comprises three heterogeneous domains of mobile computing, cloud computing, and wireless networks aiming to enhance and overcomes obstacles related to the performance (e.g., battery life, storage, and bandwidth), environment (e.g., heterogeneity, scalability, and availability), and security (e.g., reliability and privacy) discussed in mobile computing [36] [40].
This Thesis gives a survey of applying the cloud computing model in Mobile devices MCC, and L TE based Cellular systems architecture which helps have an overview of cloud Computing, MCC and L TE architecture including the definition, architecture, and applications. Also we will show a two practical case studies, where Case one for the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, which depends on the benefits of cloud computing technology by using Google Apps for Education, which supports hosting and deployment facilities with Zero cost, and second case study we have made a feasibility study of applying the cloud computing network virtualization on physical eNodeBs by virtualizing one eNodeB into three virtual eNBs shared by three virtual operators. Finally we will discuss the MCC issues, existing solutions, and approaches are presented. In addition, the future research directions ofMCC are discussed .
